Palace (dacha) of the Emir of Bukhara (Russian: Dvorets emira Bukharskogo) is a two-story oriental palace (dacha) in Zheleznovodsk, Russia. On the initiative of the ruler of Bukhara Emirate, Abdulahad Khan, and with the permission of the Russian Emperor Nicholas II, construction began in 1907 and was completed in 1912 during the reign of Alim Khan. The second largest residence of the emir in Russia (the first palace owned by him is located in Yalta, Crimea). Currently, it is an architectural monument of Federal significance of Russia. Tourists often pass by the palace quickly, as it’s not easy to see from the road. This is a shame because the palace is very attractive, with unusual architecture and an interesting history. It’s considered an architectural monument of Uzbekistan. The palace’s origins lie in the expansion of the Russian Empire to Central Asia in the second half of the 19th century. Towards the end of the century, strong diplomatic relations developed between Russia a...

According to legend, he was tall and broad in shoulders. Penetrating eyes peered out from under furrowed brows. His skin was tan. His face was framed by a gray beard. He was very humble and gentle in manner. He was far from objection and stubbornness.   When Sayyid Amir reached his spiritual perfection and became the fourth deputy of Sheikh Muhammad Babai Sammasi, the venerable Sheikh entrusted him with his young student "spiritual son" - Bahauddin Naqshbandi, who later became the founder of one of their The most popular Sufi orders are Khadjagan Nakshbandia. During his spiritual and educational activities, Sayyid Amir Kulol prepared hundreds of students, including Khoja Bahauddin Nakshband, Mavlono Arif Deggaroniy, Khoj...

Ark

Image
Today also we are gonna to continue our trip to historical monuments and buildings . We visited Ark of Bukhara. The arch was originally built in the 1st century BC. Before the Arab invasion, the city governors - Bukhorkhudots lived in the arch. It was rebuilt and strengthened with walls and turrets during the Somonides period (IX-X centuries). During the Karakhanid era (XI-XII centuries) and during the Mongol invasion (XIII century), the arch was destroyed several times. At one time, the Arch towering over Registan Square was a symbol of greatness, power and invincibility. On one of the walls of the arch hangs a large leather whip, which was once a symbol of power in the Bukhara Emirate. Bukhara Arch and the market in front of it. 1890s I liked  this experience of visiting the Ark of Bukhara. If given a chance, I would visit there one more time!!!

Hello my dears!Today I want to share some amazing facts and my fantastic experience of visiting Toqi Sarrofon. The majestic trade dome Toqi Sarrafon is located at the intersection of several streets that connect the city centre of Bukhara with a medieval suburb. The structure was named after the Sarrafs — the merchants who transformed it. Traditionally, the exchange of curriencies of differents states was carried out by Indians. This means that the dome can be considered one of the oldest “ currency exchanges” in the east the modern dome does not gather currency experts, but an unimaginable number of traditional eastern souvenirs are collected here.Today, we can find various national souvenirs, painted  utensils and hats under the famous Dome. Ancient bazaar, like many years ago, is filled with buyers and tourists from different countries. Our trip to there was very amazing,we had a good number of unforgettable memories there and also bought a great number of souvenirs for ou...

Gavkushon

Hello my dears!Today I want to share some amazing facts and my fantastic experience of visiting Gavkushon. The name Govkushan ("killing bulls") is related to the fact that there was a slaughterhouse (poultry) here until the 16th century. A little later, after the construction of the madrasa, the second Juma Mosque of Bukhara, known as the "Khoja Mosque", was built around it, imitating the Minarai Kalon, with a pool and a low minaret. Later, caravanserais were built nearby. To the right is a rectangular hall that was used as a mosque and a classroom. The left wing of the building consists of multi-domed roofs and closed houses. The courtyard is surrounded by one-story roomsIt was included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1993 as part of the "Historical Center of Bukhara"[2]. In 1997, on the occasion of the 2500th anniversary of the city of Bukhara, the Govkushon madrasa was renovated among all the monuments in Bukhara. It is also a tourist ser...
